About

Magdalena is an art therapist, educator, group facilitator & artist.
Above all this though, she is a mama of two inspiring children.

Trained at Southwestern College in Art Therapy & Counseling,
as well as in Applied Interpersonal Neurobiology & Action Methods with Kate Cook.
Trained in Somatic Experiencing, through Peter Levine's SE Trauma Institute.
​Trained in Sandplay by the NM Sandplay Society.
Training with Mindful Schools & Rio Grande Mindfulness Institute.
Pursuing a PhD at the European Graduate School,
focusing on therapy, coaching, consulting & education, conflict transformation & peace building in Expressive Arts.

Magdalena has been teaching in Southwestern College's Graduate programs since 2012.
Classes taught: Ethics in Art Therapy, Multicultural Perspectives in Art Therapy, Art Therapy Techniques, Theory & Practice of Family Art Therapy, The Art Therapy Capstone, Psychology of Altruism, & Current Trends in Art Therapy.

She was the school counselor at The Santa Fe School for the Arts & Sciences from 2014-2019.

Magdalena is currently offering: 
Supervision for Art Therapy interns and dependently licensed therapists working towards independent licensure in NM, USA
​and/or ATR certification in the US.

Workshops / Group Facilitation that is catered to the needs of the contacting group.
